Viva Republica Cigars with Brett Bowersox!

Join us next week, August 1st, 2013 from 4 to 7pm as we welcome a new brand into our humble store, Viva Republica! Brett Bowersox will be in the building with some great deals and can help guide you through this new brand which comes from the most historic factory in the Dominican.

Viva Republica’s motto is “Cigars made by people who love cigars for people who love cigars.” It is a brand started by cigar lovers who wanted to make the best product possible for the best price possible. To do so they teamed up with the oldest factory in the Dominican, La Aurora, and started producing some great blends.

The Rapture from Viva features an Ecuadorian wrapper, with a Dominican Corojo binder, and fillers from the Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Brazil. It has notes of sugarcane, spice, fruit, and a little bit of cedar. It comes in a Robusto, Toro, Torpedo, and a Toro Gordo. The blend is medium to full bodied and very flavorful.

The Rapture Maduro features the same fillers and binders as the natural Rapture, but a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper. Available in the same sizes, this blend has a little more strenght than the Ecuadorian wrapped version. It has notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and a nice berry sweetness.

Finally the Guerrilla Warface is the newest release from Viva. It comes only in a Petit Corona and features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with a double binder from the DR and Mexico with fillers from Brazil, Nicaragua, and the DR. This little gem has a nice kick to it strenght wise, and is the perfect short smoke for someone who prefers something a bit bold.
