The Scotch:
The Balvenie DoubleWood is a 12 year old single malt which gains its distinctive character from being matured in two wood types. Over the period of maturation it is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first fill European oak sherry cask. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt ~ the traditional casks soften and add character, whilst the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavor.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry notes, layered with honey and vanilla.
TASTE
Smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavours ~ nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry.

San Cristobal Seleccion Del Sol
San Cristobal Seleccion Del Sol is the finest new cigar of 2009. Handcrafted by the Garcia family, these cigars feature a very special sun-grown wrapper grown on the family’s “Estrella” farm in Esteli, Nicaragua. Estrella sits on a picturesque plot of land surrounded by green hills, where sunlight abounds and the soil is as thick and as dark as coal. Jaime Garcia hand-selected these beautiful wrappers from the first crop of tobaccos harvested from Estrella explicitly for this cigar. These wrappers are thick and oily with a wonderful flavor and aroma. Available in five sizes, in boutique boxes of 20, these cigars also feature an intricate blend of 100% aged Nicaraguan tobaccos. The strength is medium to full-bodied and the flavors are very rich and complex.
San Cristobal Elegancia
San Cristobal Elegancia is the most recent addition to the Ashton family. Handmade in Nicaragua by the Garcia family, San Cristobal Elegancia is a medium-bodied cigar featuring a golden-blonde, Connecticut-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador and a Picasso-like assemblage of the finest aged Nicaraguan tobaccos. This delightful cigar sets itself apart from other Garcia-made gems because the typical peppery-spice takes a backseat to an elysian creamy, earthy melange that’ll reward your palate. Available in six sizes, San Cristobal Elegancia is packaged in boxes of 25.
